Comics getting a lot of artworld play recently

There is a review by ny times art critic Roberta smith on Aline Kominski Crumb and Sophie Crumb in today's NY times, and a recent review of Lynda Barry's show in ny, Alison Bechdel just won the MacArthur genius award, the summer artforum edition featured comics along with recent traveling museum shows of Clowes, Speigelman and others. Seems to me a pretty interesting time for comic artworld crossover.
