Hemsworth has 2 movies left on his contract after Avengers 2; presumably Thor 3 and Avengers 3 (same as Evans with CA 3 and A3).

 

We as fans often overlook the business side of it, but with all the contracts coming up, including RDJ, this is why MCU has to introduce new characters and smaller salaries. The stars have too much leverage if the films are a box office success ($50m alone for RDJ in Avengers). Ed Norton did not return as Hulk because they could not agree on terms.

 

I think Marvel will end up opening their wallets, and that's if the cast agrees to return. Can anyone really see an Avengers team of say Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp being able to be billed as a film blockbuster in the same way to rival the current team? Awesome for comic book fans, but tough sell the general public.
