PGM ASM 361

The cover looks to be slightly miscut and it has small bindery gripper tears at the bottom that look production related. Other than that it looks pretty friggin clean, the interor pages are super white and the book has never been opened. Am I totally gonna hate those tears or are they fine in 9.6?

Anyone else know about gripper tears in high grade books?

Gripper tears do not result in grade deductions on books up to and including 9.8!

 

hm anyway this could get a 9.8?

They are considered a production defect and do not effect the grade. Somewhere on the printing press/line gripper arms are used to move the book in the printing process. It is very common some books show the defect on the cover other times it shows up on the interior pages.

 

I'd say 9.6 the lower staples stress likely knocks it out of 9.8
