Official Silver Age Low Grade/Reader Copy Thread (got all that?)

I really don't know if threads like this work or not, but I have seen a lot of people asking for copies of Silver Age books that would be good as readers that wouldn't be worth it to send in to CGC. I thought we could use this thread to post these low grade books for sale or for trade. Sound like an idea? confused-smiley-013.gif

I'll start with what I've got. None of these books would grade any higher than a 4.0 at the max. Most are probably more in the 2.0 to 3.0 range.

 

I'd be willing to sell very cheap, or preferably trade for some moderns to fill in some runs. The low-grade SA's I have are:

 

Action Comics #365, 366, 367, 368, 369

Adventure Comics #370

ASM #63, 67

Angel and the Ape #1, 2, 6

FF #79, 83, 193(bronze)

Flash #182

G.I. Combat #129

Incredible Hulk #122, 234(bronze)

Iron Man #31

Jimmy Olsen #112

Lois Lane #73, 78, 82, 88, 89

Showcase #77

Space Adventures (Charlton) #6

Star Trek (Gold Key) #61 (bronze)

Superboy #146, 149, 150, 153, 158

Superman #204, 207 (80pg giant, no cover), 210

TOS #68, 99

Unexpected #191(bronze)

World's Finest #175

 

Also have Flash #201, but it may actually be above a 5.0. So I think I'll hold onto it unless given a decent offer.

 

If anyone wants to trade, I'm looking for some moderns to fill in some runs:

Flash (vol 2) #1-206

Spider-Man (1990-1998 series) #28-98

X-Men/New X-Men #41-155

 

So if you've got some moderns in these runs you don't care about and are looking for some of the above silver age so you can read the stories, hit me up.

Journey Into Mystery 85 Probably around a 2.5 or 3.0. Has some water damage or else it would be closer to a 6.0.

Tales of Suspense 65 7.0

WereWolf By Night 32 5.5

Strange Tales 89 5.0 A few interior pages were miscut and stick out a little more. SOLD

Strange Tales 115 6.0

Thor 134 6.0

35 VG/FN a few creases

38 VG

42 VG Foxing

44 VG ballpoint marking on cover + some kind of knife scraping ? (not cut)

46 VG minor Foxing if any

47 VG but significant Foxing

49 VG- spine creases

50 VG- spine roll

54 VG spine creases, bottom right hand corner creases

60 FN thumbprint minor color loss on cover

69 VG spine creases

70 VG flaking on spine

71 G/VG some spine damage, small nick out of cover, Foxing

72 VG/FN ballpoint arrival date

73 VG minor water stain back cover only

74 VG/FN staples discolored, beginning to rust?

75 G water stain inside front cover, barely visible from front

81 VG cover creases
