A small show, but the price is right: FREE!

I will be setting up at this show and it will be my first one. Hoping I bring the right stuff and it goes well. :wishluck:

Probably being a little over-anxious for my first show, but I'll be bringing it all:

$1/$2/$5 issues

Modern Indie Runs

Copper and Modern 1st Appearances

CGC comics

Wall books (as long as I can construct a wall in time)

That should be enough to entice people to this FREE show, right? ;)

This Sunday

I'll be out of town but hope you do good!

Thanks, Hector. Me too.

Bringing:

  • Long box of $1/$2 stuff
  • Modern sets/runs including Infinity Gauntlet
  • 1st appearances/important issues as marked
  • Additional Wall Books
  • Some CGC

I think that covers just about all of the bases.

Wouldn't mind selling some of the higher-dollar stuff, but I'm really looking to get rid of the small stuff and sets.

They all take up the same amount of room, but they all don't cost the same. ;)

For me, it was a success. I moved 60 books in all, the majority being the $1/$2/$5 stuff I wanted to be rid of.

I also bought a couple books I've been trying to find for a good price, and still made it out with some profit. The foot traffic was very good, with (I think) most of the people opting to dig in the discount bins than check out wall books.

There were a couple wall books sold, but the majority was smaller stuff.

I don't think anyone even looked at the sets I brought.

A couple people glanced the wall; my only wall sales were to other dealers.

I even managed to buy some comics near the end of the show out of some guy's car in the parking lot. I think all of the bases were hit.

Sorry for not taking pictures of the other dealers' stuff; by the time I thought of it, we were packing up.

Oh yeah, what I bought (no pictures at this time):

Amazing Spider-Man #50

Batman #234

Detective #371 (water-damaged but looks great)

Captain Marvel #33

X-Men #282

Captain America #360

Fear #19

Warlock #1

Infinity Gauntlet #1

Omega Men #3

I think that's it.

Glad you did well, looks like a nice turnout for that one. The last time I set up there it was dead.

It may just be we were lucky with timing. Neither the Bears nor the Packers were playing yesterday, so most of that region had the entire Sunday open.

And from what I saw, this crowd loves to dig in randomly assorted, cheap boxes. At least 2 guys were there for 3-4 hours just circling around that center display in the pictures.
