Well looks like all the grades are in and.... only one person got it right. Congratulations to Divad! Book was Blue Label 8.0 ow/w.

 

Notes are as follows :)

 

light corner wear

 

some edge creases left back cover, does not break color

 

spine stress & light creases barely breaks color

 

1" edge crease bottom spine front cover, breaks color

I was under the impression that grades were based on looks. (shrug)

I was on the 7.0/7.5 bubble. It's a decent looking copy and probably would have been graded VF by most graders twenty years ago when single grade increment differences didn't matter much to price and buyers and sellers spent less time agonizing where on the scale a given book belonged ( The hyper picky mint junkies excepted).

 

I wonder if how one grades a book like this depends on whether one thinks of VF as the high end of mid-grade, or the low end of high-grade?
