pressing question corner crease

Also, can dry cleaning get out a "minor" coffee ring stain from the back cover?

Gotta love eBay.

The answer to the first question is yes. You can also fix interior pages.

The second question is on a sliding scale. How bad is the stain? Does it bleed all the way through the cover, etc?

Thanks Joey & rcouto.

On the interior creasing: is that something that needs to be brought to the presser's attention, or is that "fixed" as part of the normal pressing process?

On the coffee stain: I don't recall it bleeding in to the interior pages; will have to check tonight/tomorrow and also get pictures.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Michael. :foryou:

no prob man

the interior pages are fixed just during the pressing process

its not something that needs to be disclosed to the presser ...unless hes not very observant lol

on the stain.... personally i dont think it can be removed but thats just based on personal experience with trying to remove similar light stains myself.

Be careful what you wish for. I once got a stain out by glaring at it.

That sounds like the ethanol technique to me. ;)

That would be glaring away from it. But in all honesty I read stain removal and failed to register the dry cleaning part. That's what I get for reading every third word.

I may already be too late to the party, but here are some pictures (you can click on them to enlarge):

1. 1st interior page crease

2. Additional interior pages crease:

3. Cup ring (stain?):

4. Inside BC where ring is; I can't see anything, but the ad could hide it:

5. & 6. Additional angles of ring: (note the lighter, second ring at the top  )

I'm guessing by the crickets that the back stain cannot be "fixed".

Next question: If I were to get this comic cleaned, would it make the stain stand out even more?

Don't know, but if it's cleaned it would get a purple label.

Not necessarily.
