Star Wars VII Teaster Trailer on Black Friday

Please no more comments until Broke as Joke tells us all the plot.

I'm not going to say anything about the plot of this movie here since it's all spoilers at this point. Insiders have revealed plot details that hint at who that is in the forest with the saber. If you cant wait a year until release then do some digging and find out.

It's called faith.

and your lack of it is disturbing...

But I know it's hard to get all amped up and excited again for something that can break your heart and be a gigantic turd.

But I have faith. Faith in this franchise, and faith in JJ.

I just don't know why.

I actually think it will be good

I'm just playing devil's advocate

The trailer, while I can understand the excitement of watching it, gives absolutely zero info on how good the movie will be.

About that lightsaber - the blade itself looks very different than anything we have seen before. I think it's possible we could be seeing older, primitive lightsaber technology, which means those side-blade things could be like an exhaust, and are understood to be a liability to the user rather than a benefit (though a very skilled user might know how to use them to his benefit.)

That droid ball is just silly though. What would be the practical reason for building a droid like that?

Yeah that's the 'cute factor' I dread so much in SW films....

The droid moves faster on the ground that way

Sure, like destroyer droids - but destroyer droids don't have that silly disembodied head that floats on top. That just looks physically silly. Although I guess they have already established the disembodied thing with droids in the star wars universe (those droids in episode 3 ... vulture droids, I think?) Still, I don't see any practical reason to design it that way.

Right but if he's fighting someone who's also not an amateur they can maneuver those prongs into dude while fighting.

Is there anything in life you find joy in?

If they were motivated, there are people they could hire that would track him right down. Criminal charges could be filed.

The argument is that of the saber being used by an amateur Sith.

If this so called force wielder is determined to resurrect the Sith, he has been for a long time and most likely has been collecting Sith Holocrons in order to do so.

It takes a lot to make a saber and his training probably has come from all the Holocrons he has collected. There are millions of Sith data. So his using and building of the saber is not of an amateur, but that of a self taught beginner Sith.

Of course this is all speculation, as there is no KNOWN plot yet.

Again it takes a lot to build a saber.

Hopefully, this so called new Sith resurrects the Rule Of Two, and gets himself an apprentice. :wishluck:

Yep if he's gathering Sith holograms and using them to build some new type sabre there must be a reason for it I'm thinking.

The first thing I thought when I saw that sabre was I would cut into my thigh really quick, trying to hold the sabre by my side.

Im guessing the two prongs are go keep opposing sabres from sliding down the sabre to the hilt during lock-ups with other sabres. Maybe someone else already said that.

I dont see how a guy standing up, a droid on a ball, some ships flying and a dude in a forest give any indication whatsoever about the strength of the plot of this film.

Kav, trust the Mouse, respect the Mouse, give your money to the Mouse.

I finally got home to watch it. I refused to watch it on my phones small screen so I waited it out.

I thought it was really cool! Love the broad sword and the X-Wings over the water. Seeing the Millennium Falcon was awesome as well.

On a tangent, it's amazing how common place special effects are now. I always loved that scene of the Falcon going up and over a cloud and doing a 180 at the same time when they went to pick up Luke under Cloud City, (ESB of course) it was such a simple yet graceful maneuver and beautiful to see on the big screen. Sometimes I think that simplicity gets lost these days. I don't mean that as a criticism of the trailer - if anything, I thought the effects looked restrained - in a good way of course.
