what do you guys think?! this was my first copy of the 1st punisher app., i'm thinking it can be an VG+?! the front cover isn't too rough, but the back cover has clearly seen better days...

Too many defects to call it a nice solid VG. Back cover stained and full length wear on spine are major detractions. Also the minor spine roll is a detraction, everything else just goes with the grade. I sold a FF#1 in CGC VG- that was structurally soooo much better than this copy. Still a great read. I love having copies that you can flip through and not worry about.

Staples rusty? If not I'd be willing to give it a 4.0 as it generally in good shape except for the spine.

Lots of stains, small spine roll, moderated amount of wear -- lower VG range (3.5-4.0).

 

Just for the sake of specualtion I wonder what this book would look like if it were dry cleaned and pressed.

With the stain, I'll have to say 3.5. Possibly 4.0.
