Well then that's settled. I appreciate the feedback guys.

 

 

Just do a quick check. The interior cover is, by far, the easiest tell the book has. If it's shiny...it's a fake. No need to worry about all the other minute "tells" the book may have.

 

One of the other clues is that it is such high grade, too. The counterfeits, because they were "sold" to collectors for a lot more than $1, are far, far more likely to have remained in high grade.

 

The originals were badly sized to begin with, and even Sim's original copies he kept for himself only yielded some 9.4s...while other books he kept graded 9.9s and 10s (several from #2-21.)

 

The book had a tiny 2,000 run, they were weirdly sized, and they sat on stacks at local Kitchener, Ontario cons (and on the shelf at the Silver Snail), getting mangled.

 

I doubt any other copies above 9.4 will ever surface.
