What's your opinion??

I noticed these auctions on ebay and wanted to get some opinions about how much to bid. There is no reserve but I don't want to pay too much.

Thanks for info all!

First thing is to QUIT spamming the boards with your posts.

The next thing to do is to NOT ask people what they think about an auction you are thinking of bidding on. (see punishment bidding and/or outbid snipes)

Lastly, check the price guide.

how do you get ripped off if you bid what you think is a fair price?

"ripped off" implies bad intent on behalf of the seller. "overpay", now that's not your fault.

i hope you're not one of these guys who pays $20 for something and finds out it can be had elsewhere for $4 and expects a refund, are you?

aside from maybe the USM 3 and maybe a couple others, none of those are particularly "collectible" books, at best a couple of bucks each

and why are you looking at such a mish mosh of auction lots if you have no idea what they're worth?

buy a price guide, look at prior auction results. mush it all together and you ought to be able to figure this out. bidding on those sorts of lots you're probably not going to overpay by more than a few bucks anyway.
