Interesting - it was purchased from Metropolis as unrestored. I guess we'll see.

Well, at least they have a restoration guarantee if it does come back restored.

 

It may just be the point of view of the pictures. I'm use to looking at scans.

I compared it to some graded CGC books one can find on Heritage and I don't think its trimmed ... and I couldn't find any CT or tear seals when last checked so we'll see... I give it a 5.0/5.5.

Looks a 4.0 maybe 4.5, but more importantly, excellent green strike. Not easy to find on this book.

..... yup, she's pretty. A 5.0 from here..... and if the suspected trim is in reference to the bottom edge.... that's likely just "ride up" from being stored upright in a stack without a bag and board..... the way MANY 50's books were displayed at Cons as late as the mid 70's....... there was a time when that book was dead inventory at $ 2 per........ those were the days GOD BLESS....

It certainly looks more like what you're mentioning here Jimbo. You can see the top cover shift in comparison to the bottom.
