Opinion Needed Avengers #57 (restoration or not)

I'm not experienced with identifying restoration but I thought this looked odd... Thank you for your opinion!

3 is the same type of spot by the staple just much smaller

Could be color touch or possibly residue from tape that has fallen off (or been removed). Kind of hard to tell from the photos.

It is just slightly thicker in that area, It looks like a plaster texture... I can't see anything on the cover.

It is a repair that probably looked a lot better when initially done.

Thank you for your input, This was an Ebay purchase that was listed as unrestored, I don't think the seller was aware of it. But I did want to get it graded and a purple label would be a disappointment for sure.
