PGM ASM #301

Hi all,

 

Picked up this copy of ASM #301 today and am tempted to submit it considering the huge price jump between 9.6 and 9.8

 

Book lays flat and doesn't have any noticable defects to my eye, with the exception of its very slight off centering. I usually pay pretty close attention to the corners of a book, spine ticks, etc. but can't find any. Is there something in particular I should be looking for on this issue that might make a difference to its grade?

 

Would appreciate any feedback!

Need scans to call that high a grade but if you think it has any chance at 9.8 send it to Sarasota asap. This book skyrockets in 9.8.

Is that a crease on/near the spine to the left of the 301?

I can't see any defects in your scan. If all four corners are sharp and you can't see any spine stress send it in.

Yeah…there is a crease next to the 301…might knock it down to 9.0-9.2 territory. Again, kinda hard to tell from the pic.

You're right, there's a small mark next to the 301 that I didn't notice. It's not a crease, but I suppose keeps it from reaching top tier. Unsure whether it's worth trying to remove to submit or not, the rest of the book really is outstanding.

If it's a smudge next to the 301, it could be production related and should not detract from the grade.

 

Either way, it appears to be a really nice copy that should get get graded. Only costs $25 or so, right?
