Katee Sackhoff to play Ms. Marvel?

Watched I Frankenstein last night. Couldn't stop thinking Carol Danvers every time Yvonne Strahovski was on screen!

I liked her in the Dexter series. And she played a very believable serial killer. So she can definitely act.

I liked her in "Chuck".

She'd get my vote.

Well, she did say she wants to be Captain Marvel.

Ronda Rousey Offered Captain Marvel Porn Parody

Axel Braun, the adult filmmaker that's been asked to save Fantastic Four, has put out an offer for Ronda Rousey to play Captain Marvel in one of his porn parodies.

Braun is known for creating high-quality superhero porn parodies such as Batman Vs. Superman, with the safe-for-work YouTube trailer amassing close to 1 million views.

Now TMZ is stating Braun has offered UFC fighter and actess Ronda Rousey $5 million to star in "Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody."

I'd hate to be him if they ever meet.

:fear:

HOT RUMOR: Rebecca Ferguson Reportedly At Top Of Marvel's List For 'Captain Marvel'

Got a hot tip that Rebecca Ferguson, who is UBERHOT at the moment coming off Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is at the top of Marvel's list to play Captain Marvel.

Now at press time I'm not sure if talks have taken place or if an offer has been made.

However, here is a clue...

Last month she took herself out of the running to be the female lead in Gambit. Instead, she chose to play Anna in the Tate Taylor directed adaptation of Paula Hawkins novel The Girl On The Train with Emily Blunt.

Could she be considering the bigger fish instead over at the MCU?

I've been binge-watching BSG the last week or so.

Katee Sackhoff should be nowhere NEAR the Captain Marvel movie...unless it was the male version they were making. Talking about a no-shape butch.

Horrible choice.

harsher than I would have put it, but I also reside in the camp of "I don't find Ms Sackoff to be attractive"

That being said, I think she's generally fine as an actress (though a bit inconsistent) in the roles she gets. I think she does better on tv where she can develop her character more. Some actors/actresses are just more suited towards that.

To feature has as a lead in a movie you have to be immediately drawn to her as a movie star, as the lead. This is a quality that CAN be built up over time (although it can be innate), but it has to be there to play the lead in a movie which most people have never heard of. I don't think she's got it and won't get the opportunity fast enough to build it. So I don't think it would be a mistake to cast her. Not to mention that if they wanted to even consider a sequel/triliogy, her age would be a detriment in 'Hollywood' terms.

I can see why some people want her for the role, and why she'd be considered, but I don't think she'll be cast. Her 'toughness' is probably her best attribute, but she doesn't have a 'movie star' look/feel/quality.

I'd love Stackoff, but we'll have to wait and see if Marvel is willing to base perhaps their most important female characer of he slate on her.

I was pro Emily Blunt, but unless she's playing a great poker game, she's likely not going to be the choice here.

Would have been quite ok with Yvonne Strahovski too, given her work on Chuck/Dexter and even Mass Effect, and I know fellow MCU member Zach Levi has told execs to look at her.

I haven't seen Rogue Nation yet, but my father who knows the old Danvers (not the new Kelly Sue line) says Ferguson could 100% pull it off.
