Did Frazetta do any interior stories or only the covers?

 

The original cover for that one sold through Heritage a few years ago for $80,000+. As cool as that cover is, it rocked in pen and ink form.

Winning bid was $100,625 during the Heritage 2002 March Comic Auction #802.

 

And it is sweeeeeet!

Does anyone know why the Epic 1 cgc 9.4 that sold recently went for only $30 little ones? It has a Frazetta cover for cryin' out loud! Would the Frazetta collectors have bid had it been a 9.6 or 9.8?? Or is it that Epic 1 is unappealing?

Raw NM copies go for about $1.00 so $30 for a CGC 9.4 sounds about right.
