Real nice copy…probably gets a 7.0 or better without the little flap tear at the top edge starting at the F in OF and the faint 1-1/2-inch diagonal crease at the lower right corner. Otherwise beautiful cover with nice colors/reasonable gloss and some very light shadowing along the right edge. Back cover is in great shape and also exhibits some light shadowing around the perimeter. Interior covers are very clean with uniform light tanning. Structure is excellent with near-perfect registration…book lays flat.

Another really nice copy (should’ve sent this in for grading…) with some light parallel creasing at the spine just below the top staple, a fuzzy bottom spine corner and some faint small creasing at the top and bottom right corners. Super clean edges. Very nice colors and gloss with excellent structure and perfect registration…book lays flat. Back cover is in great shape with some light soiling along spine and a soft transverse crease at the bottom right margin. There is some light staining along the left edge/margin…not super noticeable but there under the right light. Interior covers have a medium level of tanning around the perimeters.

 

Interior off-white to white pages are in superior shape with perfectly centered staples and a tight centerfold…book is COMPLETE.

Still hard for me to fathom how this only grades out 6.0 (?). Bought this book raw last year from Harley Yee as a FN+ and I thought it had every shot at a 7.0 if not higher. Just a fantastic looking book with a super faint ¾-inch diagonal crease at bottom right corner and a mild color scratch at upper spine corner and a teeny vertical ½-inch just-breaking color crease to the right of the Dummy on the black shadow figure. Registration is slightly offset to the back cover yet still exhibits strong vertical alignment.

Back cover has a little 1/8-inch round hole/tear at the second part of the text in the white box at the bottom left of the ad and a teeny chip out of the bottom left corner with a couple of soft creases.

Three (3) big creases keep this one out of the FINE or better level…a vertical crease down the top center through the E in SUSPENSE just breaking color through the E…and two long diagonal creases at the lower right FC, the first going from the right edge through the Martian’s head to the bottom edge and another shorter one just to the lower right. Otherwise nicely presenting for the grade...little bit of overhang at top edge, super clean/straight right edge and nice bottom edge…nice overall spine as well. Back cover is in nice condition with a vertical just-breaking color crease through Albert Dorne’s shoulder/arm and a few teeny Marvel chips at bottom edge. Interior covers are nice with a hint of tanning at perimeters.

 

Nice overall structure with near perfect registration, perfectly centered staples/tight centerfold, book lays flat. Interior white to off-white pages are in excellent shape…COMPLETE.

The cover colors/gloss and overall presentation on this one are just stunning! If this is a 7.0 makes you wonder what a 9.0 or better looks like?! Two Marvel chips on the right edge…one at the top corner of the Comics Code stamp and one across from the Monster’s head…and there is a ¼-inch transverse tear at the bottom edge about 2-inches from the right corner (can’t even see this without opening the cover)…a hint of color loss at bottom fuzzy rounded spine corner…I guess that’s all there is dropping this out of the 8.0/8.5 range. Back cover is in fantastic shape…just a hint of soiling along the spine. Interior covers are in great shape with tanning at the bottom margins.
