Archie Daily 11/02/1948

I have part of a nice Montana daily that was cut up, so bought this to get the whole gag:

Only to find out it doesn't finish 1948. The book ends mid-October about two weeks before my daily. Grrr.

Does anybody has an online resource or recommendation for me? And if you have the original other half...I'm interested in buying :)

Not an online source but you may want to try your local library and see if they have newspapers on microfiche or otherwise.

Can you post a pic of what you have?

Thanks.

I don't know really have any suggestions to help. I'm also probably not making things any better, but seeing it sounds like you have the part of the strip which is date marked, the other part won't be recognizable as a match unless you have the complete story.

I noticed this was posted on CAF, 6 days apart and later along in the chronology. Maybe's it's worth reaching out the publisher and asking them why they omitted strips, when yours and the above clearly show they do run further along for the year range the book is meant to cover.

Short of hunting down old michrofiche of newspapers syndicating Archie strips at the time, or getting a tip from the authors of that book to help you find your complete strip, I don't have any other recommendations.

I'd like to see the strip you currently have myself - love old Montana Archie stuff and to have a daily from that time period is really awesome regardless of condition! :)
