That is a really pretty Hattori! 8"x10" is actually quite large for him (or at least was a few years ago when I followed more closely).

 

Yes, given the amount of detail he works in, it's huge! Also, his framing is spectacular. I'd have to post another angle when I get home.

Southwest American Indian art: Navajo rugs, Hopi Kachinas, Pima pottery. My wife works for a tribe and has good access to artists; she has a nice collection of Native jewlery (Silver, turquoise).

Sun Kachina - around 9 inches tall. The best Kachinas are carved from one piece of wood (usually cottonwood).
