PGM Marvel Tales Annual 1

Just picked this up on the bay. Have been looking for a decent complete filler / reader.

Got this for a good price with a Marvel Tales 2 that's about a grade higher.

I'm thinking that this is a 3.0, but does it look trimmed?

 

The S in TALES is pretty severely cut off. Might be from production

and I've seen similar copies that looked like this, but they had more

of an off center wrap. Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing it's fine, as there isn't much consistency in the cut of these books. Given the overall condition there wouldn't be any reason to trim even if the edge was completely ragged.

My copy has almost an identical cut and wrap and it is in a Blue CGC slab.....

Gradewise I'd go 2.0/2.5. A fun way to read the origin stories for sure.

(or any condition) I did buy it as a filler / reader and wasn't concerned if it was

trimmed, but was just wondering. Such a great early Annual / Reprint!!

Especially the pics of the Marvel Bullpen, Lee, Kirby, Ayers, Simek, Heck,

Orlando,etc. No pic of Ditko, but not surprised.

Thanks, I think this book is underrated, not easy to find. Regarding the grade on your copy, it is rough but there is no one major flaw. No writing, not pieces missing, no stains..... I'm thinking more like 4.0 .

I agree that this book is underrated. Great cover (love the green, red and blue MARVEL)

and way to read the origins. A piece of (imho) the greatest era of Marvel!
