fyi --- the edge of the book around the the upper right corner has some black ink on the pages but does not touch the cover itself-- for about two inches on each side of the corner. It does not penetrate deep into the book itself, as if it were touched lightly with a marker. Never seen this before on a book. Is that some sort of way to hide worse looking damage or just some kid screwing around years ago- unsure? Lays nice and flat.

 

also note the tiny chunk missing on the back cover.

nice comic...3.5 sounds about right, but i wouldn't be surprised if it gets a 3.0

I was thinking 3.0 was about right as well. They may not be the world greatest copies but it is so fun to finally have a copy of my own. And the price was decent for the grade.
