PGM: MSH 13 (Interesting Defect)

Any help/info would be much appreciated folks!

 

I bought it as a 5.0....but never dealt with a "defect" like this before....it's a tear that wraps around the spine. No inner pages are ripped and the tear doesn't even go thru the front and back cover.

Yeh, that's kinda what I was thinking too. Only thing I can think of, is it was prolly dropped and all the impact/weight was on that spot. Sending it off soon....so, fingers crossed.
