Ranking the film studios by their superhero movies.

9 posts in this topic

I'm ranking them not only by films but also their quality and future films they're releasing.

1.Marvel/Disney

2.Fox (they've really improved their movies as of late with the exception of the FF reboot as of now)

3.Sony (I rank them high because of their deal with Marvel/Disney)

4.Warner Bros (they're playing catch up with Marvel, and with news that no one is running the DCU I don't have much hope their movies are going to be quality films)

You agree,disagree? hm

I would put Warner above Sony. and probably 2.5 based on their previous movies.

I liked MOS and I like the Batman movies.

I also really like their roster of heroes more than Marvels

You didn't like Bryan Singer's first two X-Men movies?

OK, my vote for "quality" goes to DC for the Dark Knight trilogy and Man of Steel. Pretty much nothing else. lol

...and for the "fun" factor Marvel/Disney (Avengers, GotG, Big Hero 6, Iron Man, CA: TWS). The way they plan their films, they can go on for another 10 years and I wouldn't mind. There has been no masterpieces like The Dark Knight though, gonna say that right here in my own humble opinion. It doesn't have to be anyone else's.

But, I cannot deny I enjoy a good funnybook movie regardless of the studio and cannot stress the importance of Warner Bros/FOX/Sony not screwing things up with middling efforts that might wane the audience's towards them in general.

That should be the only discussion. Not petty rivalries or troubled productions that might revert rights back.

I thought they were okay, X1 and X2 were to me okay, not mind blowing or anything.. (shrug)

Fair enough, Blade? It was produced at a branch at Warner Bros.

...or Men in Black #1? Sony movie owned by Marvel at the time.

Sorry I'm picking on you?

X1 and X2 brought a level of excitement to the CBM market when it came to mainstream characters that followed after Blade. But all three showed the level of profit these comic characters could bring.
