Art at Minnesorta Springcon May 16th and 17th

The Minnesota Springcon held Saturday may 16 and Sunday may 17th at the Minnesota Fairgrounds (in the big grandstand) in St Paul is a large all comics non-profit con that has been going for over 25 years. A couple of dozen artists set up there is a benefit art auction (last year it had Jack Davis last Frankenstein painting in it) George Hagenauer (me) sets up there with art but there is other art at other booths and Steve Thompson shows up with a nice selection of Pogo originals. as a nonprofit they do not do a lot of national publicity (admission is $12 for the weekend and no TV guests) so this is sort of a best kept secret outside the Twin Cities area- but if you can get there I is well worth your time and a lot of fun (the little kids area is "Arkham Asylum"!
