Maybe the greatest thing that has ever happened.

 

Despite faceplanting on their Kickstarter campaign, Archie Comics announced today that they are going forward with a new Jughead series. #1 will be released in September.

 

Sex Criminals artist Chip Zdarsky will be writing the book, while the art will be provided by Unbeatable Squirrel Girl artist Erica Henderson.

 

Here's an interview about it with Zdarsky.

 

So far, they have revealed covers by Henderson, Zdarsky, Francisco Francavilla, Robert Hack, Ramon Perez, and the team of Steven Downer and Anton Emdin.
