JULY 12TH - MONTCLAIR NJ COMIC BOOK EXPO!

The last time we ran a Comic Con in Montclair was back in 2007 at the Montclair Art Museum... it was a great day for vendors, collectors and creators (but could not be repeated because it was a tie-in to their exhibit and we can not rent the space for a "for profit" event). We have been looking for a suitable venue since in town to run another show... and we have found one!

 

Join us from 10-4 on July 12th at...

 

The Commonwealth Club

26 Northview Ave

Upper Montclair, NJ 07042

 

Admission is $3 (kids under 12 & seniors are free)

 

There are 60 free parking spaces on site and next door and tons of free Sunday parking on the street or in municipal lots within a 2 block radius.

 

If you are familiar with the area, it is only a block and a half from the uptown center of Valley Rd and Bellevue Ave.

 

Montclair is rated as one of the TOP THREE Main Streets in the country! Bring the family even if they're not all into comics... within a two block walk there are dozens of specialty stores to shop at and countless restaurants... Chinese, Middle Eastern, Italian, Indian, Vegetarian, Turkish, American charbroil, Diner, Pizza, Sushi, Bistro, Bagel, Cafe... and more. Also two supermarkets with large deli counters and a Starbucks of course!

 

...and of course the show will feature dozens of dealers with a full range of comics from GA to modern in all price ranges. One of our dealers had a gorgeous purple 9.2 Bat-Man #1 at our last show... if you have 70k burning a hole in your pocket and he hasn't sold it yet, it could be yours!

 

Our legendary no minimum bid auction will be at noon.

 

Relax and chat with other collectors in the beautiful lounge area in the center of the show.

Just a heads up for any show attendees that may have been Sopranos fans... Holsten's ice cream parlor and luncheonette is on Broad St in Bloomfield, only about a ten minute drive from us. Scenes from many episodes were filmed there... including the very last scene! Hours on Sunday are 12:00-10:00, if you would like to check it out!

Derek Woywood will be bringing stacks of the new OPG hot off the presses... and at 20% off cover!

Derek was the man for the OPG he had hard and soft,didn't have to wait for Amazon. The show was great as usual thanks for all your hard work JP.And showing me that rarity which was already sold to bad for me!

I haven't done any of your shows in a year or a bit longer.I'm thinking of setting up at your next Montclair, it looks like a good time.

 

Close to 200 serious customers, with a good amount spent... and a few nice books walking through the door. Everybody seemed happy. We don't have another date set yet, but it is likely.
