Yang on Superman: First Chinese Guy?

I've got a major vested interest in Superman #41 coming out today-- as you might be able to tell from my forum name, I'm Chinese, and hey, so's Gene Luen Yang! I'm curious to know whether Gene's the first Chinese (or even Asian) guy on a full run of Superman. I know Greg Pak has been doing Batman/Superman and Action Comics lately, but I don't think he or anyone else has done a run on Superman. Any ideas?

I think there's an article about it out there, maybe even a dc press release. I could google it....but I don't want to be accidentally exposed to jrjr's art..

There was this guy named Jim Lee who was kind of Asian, IIRC.

 

Jim Lee is Korean. I really loved "American Born Chinese" he's a great writer so I will probably pick up a couple issues and see how it goes. Then again JRJR art.... hm
