How much is a Superman #2 cover from 1939 worth in good condition?

I was wondering the value of a Superman #2 comic cover from 1939? It's in good condition so I would think about a 2.0-4.0

That's a hefty asking price. There's a pretty big chunk of cover missing on the bottom right corner.

I would think it grades in the lower end of your range. A grade of 2.0 may even be generous upon inspection in hand.

To me it looks trimmed too, which is a big turn off.

 

But..... if you've got a coverless copy of #2 you might want to negotiate with the seller.

 

I recently paid about $5000 for the front cover to Superman 1. I feel like I got a deal on that one.

Yup, it's actually a gorgeous cover. From what I can tell it is only trimmed on the left side. No CT that I could find. No tape.

 

Here it is laying on top of my coverless Supes 1.

 

Anyone got a back cover for me?
