QUESTION ON GRADER NOTES

Grader Notes on my STAR WARS #1 states "Top Back Cover Address/Date/Name Stamp".

The only thing on the back cover is a date stamp "APR 12 1977"...there is no Address or

Name Stamp. I'm not sure when or where the above stamp was applied. Should this

considered as a major defect?

I'm assuming CGC has a generic reference to a stamp in their notes. With all the permutations of name, address, date, etc. it is not practical to be that specific. I don't think they count the stamp as a defect at all. I've seen front cover date stamps on a 9.8 .

I'd suggest asking a generalised question about date stamps and grades via the contact button on the CGC homepage. I don't think they answer questions relating to the grade of specific cert. nos. but I've found them quite helpful with general grading questions.
