I listed some nice books and the offers were disrespectful

 

I can't imagine putting up Hulk #1 - #6 all in high grade and getting them smashed....no thanks

 

I was offered $6,000.00 for an Amazing Fantasy #15 raw 8.0 W/minor restoration (color-touch).

 

the last 8.0 that sold had major restoration and it sold for over $14,000.00

 

I simply say to all put in the work I do day in and day out and go find your own deals (or steals) but I promise you some will slam the door in your face

 

at least I'm being respectful about it.

You have 20 posts, and you registered a week ago. People are going to be skeptical (at best) as to your legitimacy. You might try listing some lower tiered books first so people can get an idea for who you are before you start listing books worth 15k.

whats the harm in taking some pics and posting them for sale? is it really not worth an hour of your time to upload the pics to potentially make $10K-$30K+ on a fee free site?

 

Do you really not see the difference between selling a 'raw' mega key graded by you (an unknown quantity here on the boards) and a graded key by CGC a well known auction house with a potential worldwide audience? even if restoration is disclosed on both?

 

Go get it graded which will take a week at $500 w/shipping insurance/grading fees, send it to heritage, and get your $10,500 (after heritage fees, which will end up being reported to the IRS for sure) net two months from now. Or you could have negotiated with the $6K guy up to $8,000-$8,500 and gotten your money tomorrow, possibly in check or cash. How low-ball is it now?

 

 

On a related note, why does even hurt so much to get a 'low' offer? You own some of the most awesome comic books in existence, and that probably means you (or someone in your family) has been financially successful, which is GREAT!!! Why would you even care how much some stranger on the internet offers you? YOU'VE WON!!! You've got books that person (and most people) can't afford!!! They're your books!! Celebrate!! Go make it rain at the club!! Buy your wife/gf a Squirrel Girl costume!!! Enjoy life!!
