What's the best Version of "Army of Darkness" you can buy on DVD?

- 6 disc

- 3 different versions of the movie: The European cut, the Director’s cut and the US cut

- All version on Blu-ray and DVD

I picked up the "Screwhead Edition" this afternoon. It had a new digital transfer that was way sharper than the "Bootleg" and "Boomstick" Editions. Those editions feel like you are watching VHS.

 

It just doesn't have the extra footage added to the movie or the commentaries from cast and crew. But, I'm used to the theatrical cut anyway and the "original ending" is included in the special features.

 

The screen aspect ratio on the "Screwhead" is good 'ol 1:85 too, better than the 1:66 in the previous editions.

 

So, I recommend the "Screwhead Edition" for best picture quality. (thumbs u
