Removing address label from magazines?

Is there a way to safely remove a address label on a magazine? I will be getting a magazine signed/graded, but can only find the mag with an address label.

It all depends on the type of label and the cover material of the magazine. Do you have a picture of the mag with the label?

I've previously had luck peeling the label straight off, but I can't possibly recommend anyone try that.

Not to be facetious, but the label is provenance -- akin to a book plate in an old book.
