Insensitivity to pain is not a good thing, it’s a big problem.

And these "sensational" articles are embarassing.

The point of the article was on therapeutics and new designer drugs

I do not think the article was "sensational"

Why does everything have to be measured against "sensitivity" ?

Has nutty "political correctness" really gone so far as to embarrass people from exchanging ideas ?

It never ceases to amaze me where the "thought police" manage to show up

Unbelievable :(

pain is good...

It lets you know something is wrong.

without it you could have something go wrong with you neurological system

( have a collapsed disc) that would just cripple you. One day walking, next day in a wheelchair...

no thanks.

:P

True, but I think the point of the article was that the drug companies are looking for ways to use the DNA of these people to create things like pain killers or supplements to help with things like chronic pain or osteoperosis. This stuff is probably a fairly long ways out anyways.

Of course not. What is sensational about using "These Superhumans Are Real" as part of a headline?

Why does everything have to be measured against "sensitivity" ?

Um... he was talking about half the :censored: article. You know, the article you posted that mentions how the inability to feel pain has been detrimental for the individual used as an example.

Maybe you could be in the next similar article. You could be they key to treating people who are "too intelligent."

I was referring to the sensitivity of lazyboy's FEELINGS, not sensitivity to physical pain

But you knew that because you are super intelligent yourself
