There's some white stuff left of the text that says "the fantastic" and the bottom and lower left seem to be more purple colored than the rest of the book. That might be just the photo. If you are sure there is no color touch, I'd give this around a 7.5

Woah but wouldn't a popped staple devalue a "presumed" VF to a VG? ~

Pretty hard to tell from the pictures. They are somewhat blurry in spots. The best guess I could give with those pics is somewhere between 3.0 and 5.0. If you want a better guess you should probably scan the comic rather than take pictures.
