Isn't this also a CBCS event?

No, it's not as Celestial handles CGC entries while DesertWind handles CBCS entries.

Aren't they the same people? ???

I think CGC knows about this situation at this point, and they have either changed their policy or are allowing this for some reason. Your issue is probably not with the kid for running around the store unattended, but rather with the parent for allowing it.

Although it definitely seems like there is an issue...

And what issue is that? Celestial handles CGC, DWC handles CBCS. Two separate companies.

I think the issue people are getting at is the managers or owners of the two separate companies most likely share a residence and bank account. Possibly creating issues of conflict of interest, collusion, and conspiracy aswell as breaking the CGC Policy of if you work for one company at a convention or event you can not work for the other company. It also opens questions on why can't spouses or family members be CAWs for A Facilitator.

If this is not the case and the owners of the 2 separate companies are not married and do not share money or posessions or a residence Someone should probably state this to remove any confusion.

Kris,

Nice to see your poking your head in. So what conflict of interest, collusion and/or conspiracy are you referring to? How is there a conflict of interest? How or what is the collusion involved? And what conspiracy is there? Desert Wind Enterprises, Inc has been and will continue to be completely above board on how we conduct business. When the questions of who is handling what grading company first came up, we have been completely honest and forthright with our information. Celestial Comics, which is our brick and mortar store is the CGC representative. Any books that come in for witnessing and grading are submitted under the Celestial Comics account. Celestial Comics continues to follow the rules and regulations that CGC has set for their Signature Series program. Celestial Comics continues to use the same witness that has always been used. And that witness is NOT allowed to handle books to be graded by CBCS. Sharon continues to handle the CGC submissions in the booth. If someone approaches her asking specific questions regarding CBCS then she refers those people to Chandler to answer their questions since it is Chandler who handles the CBCS books.

Now as for your other comment about spouses or family members being a witness for a facilitator, that you would need to discuss directly with CGC since it is their policy for their program. Desert Wind Enterprises, Inc completely supports the rule that CGC has in place and hopes that rule is not changed. It is this rule that helps keep the CGC Signature Series Label intact and above reproach. Once again, Desert Wind Comics before and Celestial Comics now completely supports, follows and encourages this rule.

So were the desert wind CGC shirts thrown away or do you guys just wear them on laundry day?

Jimmy that is an excellent question. But we must ask you, can you tell us when and where you have EVER seen a Desert Wind Employee wearing a "desert wind CGC shirt"? We would like to know because that means there are people posing as Desert Wind Employees without our knowledge. So please let us know. Thank you.

I think the conflict of interest is desert wind enterprises is the parent company of the two other companies. I have also been informed that both companies share a booth at conventions making it where celestial might steal Desert wind customers and certify those books via CGC and vise versa. Is this not the case. If so please publicly state this to prevent confusion and accusations.

The LOGO that is embedded on the front of the shirts say, "Desert Winds Comics and Collectibles:an authorized cgc signature series witness". You have the logo that is draped on the booth stitched on your shirts....

I guess that never happened?

Wow what a great picture from 2009 or 10. That was back in the day of the old CGC witness program. Those shirts were allowed back then as well as the logo, and were retired when CGC changed its Signature Series Program. Didn't think you were referring to shirts from the old program which has been what 5-6 years old now? That predates even CGC having its corporate employees wearing witness shirts. So those are long retired. Is this throwback Thursday? By to answer your original question, I have no idea where those shirts have gone. They may be in a box of old clothes or maybe hanging up in a corner of our closet. It is nice to see our fans posting pictures from years back. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.

Now that we've established there are Desert Wind shirts - can we talk about how Celestial Comics and Desert Winds are owned by the same people?

If they are not owned by the same people, why are the owners of Desert Winds shown on the Celestial Comics page with creators?
