Harold Gray 1916 Purdue Debris

1 post in this topic

Harold Gray entered Purdue University to become an engineer as part of the class of 1917. While he graduated with his degree in engineering, he was also involved with the yearbook, the Debris, and served as art director for at least the 1916 edition. I recently ordered the 1916 yearbook out of curiosity and it arrived today. In addition to a couple of pictures of him, and I would never have recognized him, there were at least a dozen full-page cartoons and even more smaller ones. As I'm sure you know, he graduated from Purdue and followed his first love and became a great cartoonist.

The first image is of the support staff for the yearbook. See if you can recognize him before you read the names.

The second image is an example of one of his full page cartoons.
