PGM: Batman 148

Hey guys, please grade my Batman 148. I'm guessing this one at around 5.0...

 

No chunks missing, cut out, and the staples are clean.

Thanks for the grades Roman! What's steering you towards the 4.0? Just curious...

 

I think I could buy the 4.5... My 5.0 may be a bit high with the ncb folds on the back. That large, diagonal cb crease on the top front is hurting my eyes.

It could be 5.0. low to mid-grades are challenging.

 

I look at a VF- I once owned and then I mentally compare. That's a rather large fold. Does it affect more than one page? Then there is all the wear along the spine, but not just wear, it shows white. You have a nasty crumple on the back cover, top right. Then there is one piece of paper sticking out the middle on the spine. Lots of bends on the back cover. These are the major things that CGC would target.

 

The book does present nice. It's still a pretty nice find and lot of this will look better if you press. CGC just takes some flaws pretty seriously.

I agree - the mid grades are challenging. Thanks for the insight- the more feedback the better...

 

I forgot to mention in my first post, spine split from top corner to start of top staple. So definitely lower than my initial 5.0.
