It always seemed to me that the Defenders could take on anybody, Avengers included. What a powerhouse group.

I remember seeing a high grade double cover a few years back on eBay that I wish I had grabbed. You win some you lose some.

I like Defenders #4 cover-- but it is kind of odd with Valkyrie getting all boisterous when on most Defenders covers I've notice her either tied down, knocked out, or worse.

Yeah - there is some serious woman in distress thing going on with most of those covers.

My very first slabbed comic was sub-mariner 22 old label cgc in an 8.5 and I still have it, I love the defenders but I probably because love hulk!!!!!

And with good reason! It all started in that story arc, where Thomas matured the whole idea.

Yes, I am trying to get Hulk 126 and doctor Strange 183 in high grade slabs but I have just bought a Hulk 181 so they will have to wait!

They are both not so easy in grade… I settled with a VF+/VFNM Hulk #126 and with a NM- Doc Strange #183 raw… but they’re such great books!
