Thanks for the all the input, folks. Learned a lot by reading your thoughts from both sides of the debate. This thread was spurred by a friend of mine (he's 28, I'm 32), typical Long Island boy mind you, who had -never- heard of Archie... was shocked.

 

The MAD Magazine and Richie Rich references gave me pause, of course, along with the the decreased publication figures. At the same time, Afterlife/Keller/TV Show/Movie planning = cause for much hope.

 

Archie has had incredible longevity, and it'd be a shame if it became reduced to a niche within a niche + gradually faded from our pop culture.

 

I guess the best approach is... stay tuned ! :D
