Even though many pre-code horror keys (Mister Mistery #12, Weird Mysteries #5, WM #3, Black Cat #50, etc.) remain strong, key L.B. Cole covers seemed to have lagged over the past couple of years. I have picked up a few books (Contact Comics #12, Mask Comics #2, Thrilling Crime Cases #49) at prices that I considered to be below what I thought would be market value. At some point, I expect the Cole market to be strong again, but it looks to be some time away.

 

Low-grade non-key Star Publications books, though, continue to be way overpriced by dealers. You can get these books easily below guide on Ebay.
