Wonder 13

I'm curious about others' thoughts on this book, and if the

original grading was on target:

 

Wonder 12 on ebay

 

It was graded a 5.0 and the seller maintains that it deserves much better,

namely about a 8.0.

I've leaned to my own chagrin that CGC doesn't like subscription creases on

older books.

It definetly got hammered for the rust migration - which is considered worse than dust shadows and the like as it is felt that it is accelerating the deterioration of the book. Still the front cover has great eye-appeal!

I might be inclined to consider it a FN if the paper around the staples is still tight, but no higher.

Much closer to CGC's grade then a VF.

 

Plus I like the way the guy says he sent them messages and they didn't return them.

 

Just pick up the phone and get the graders notes.

I had a long email conversation with the guy which started by me asking if he'd called for the grader's notes. He had no idea you could call.

 

In general, he's not a CGC fan, by the way.
