When is the best time of year to sell?

I have a few pieces of OA, and also a large stockpile of books that I think it is time to move. I know many people say December is a bad month to sell. If so when is the best time of the year to sell?

What OA and what books? Primo stuff sells no matter what.

 

If it's movie related, then try and hit movie hype timeframe.

 

If you're just looking for general, I'd say March-April-May (tax return time).

not immediately after San Diego Comicon or NYCC... those two cons seem to be the biggest drains on peoples pockets and you can see the impact on realized prices...

definitely not December - I've seen some of the lowest sale prices on books (even keys) lately.

I concur with Jim, Feb - May seems to be a very good time of year with tax rebates coming in.

Don't flood the market, but have a consistent release of offerings so you're always relevant, and maybe time the sales around the popularity of the characters or artists. i.e., you sell football cards during football season (Sept-Jan).

 

With the multi-media of TV and Film, sell related material around those releases.

 

As for general time of year, I'd speculate not during SDCC, not during the Holidays and probably in the Spring.

It seems I used to have good sales around Christmas, which I thought had to do with people receiving cash for Christmas. Tax time is better, though.
