Why did the police let them fight? ???
In the video his sidekick says (at the 2:24 mark): "mutual combat, under the laws of Washington state".

So apparently there's a state statue that allows mutually agreeable combatants to go at it. Under police supervision? Who knows.

Admittedly, I didn't watch the entire 8-minute video.

If that's the case, what a bizarre law. I can't imagine LE allowing something like that to go on with them right there.

I've got no issue with "mutual combat". Actually, that's kinda cool. But surprising that the police wouldn't try and diffuse it if they are present.

I bet the police had a blast watching a costumed hero one-punch deck the aggressor. Then when another nut wanted a piece the heroes "walked north" as instructed by police. Guess that was the 'diffuse' part.

It would've been pretty classic if one of the officers started running around yelling "One Punch!" after it happened.

I know they mean well but it just seems like what they are doing is making more problems than they are ending.

It would be one thing if they stopped a crime (the beating of a victim) and then simply called the police to report it. That would be perfect. But sticking around and ending up fighting the "suspects" as they repeatedly refer to them-- seems unnecessary. OH no-- he made fun of your costume. So what? Now you feel the need to strike a deal with the guy to have a street fight? that is nuts, not heroic.
