The LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION features a Stellar lineup of Special Guests and a Great Dealer's Room at the SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2016 show held at The Reef, 1933 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007. JIM STARLIN is a MARVEL and DC COMICS ARTIST known for creating such characters as THANOS, GAMORA, DRAX THE DESTROYER (featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers), SHANG-CHI, MASTER OF KUNG FU (co-created with Steve Engelhart) and DREADSTAR (soon to be a Television series). Here’s a chance to meet one of the Key Creators of the Marvel Bronze Age of Comics!

 

JIM STARLIN Art and Story are featured in the Classic Bronze Age of Comic Books such as Captain Marvel#25-34, Warlock#9-15, Iron Man#55 (First Thanos Appearance), Marvel Graphic Novel#1 The Death of Captain Marvel, Marvel Special Edition#15 (First Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu), Doctor Strange#23-26, Marvel Two-In-One Annual#2, Avengers Annual#7, Dreadstar#1-26, Strange Tales#178-181, Epic Illustrated#1-9 (Metamorphosis Odyssey) and many others. Starlin handled Story and Art for such Thanos Comics as Thanos#1-6, Thanos vs Hulk#1-4, Marvel Universe: The End#1-6, and Writer only on Thanos Annual#1 and The Thanos Quest. Starlin wrote such Infinity titles as Infinity Gauntlet#1-6, Infinity War#1-6, Infinity Crusade#1-6, and is both Writer and Artist of Thanos: The Infinity Revelation, Thanos: The Infinity Relativity and Infinity Abyss. Upcoming Infinity stories by Starlin in 2016 are Infinity: Entity and Thanos: The Infinity Finale.

Ming-Na Wen's credits include starring as Dr. Jing-Mei Chen on ER, Camile Wray on SGU Stargate Universe, U.S. Senator Michaela Wen on Eureka and Trudy on The Single Guy. Ming-Na starred as Chin-Li in the movie Street Fighter and as June in The Joy Luck Club. Ming-Na was the title voice of Disney’s animated feature Mulan and the voice of Doctor Aki Ross in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Ming-Na is the Voice of Finn’s Mom in the animated Television series Adventure Time, Dr. Hirano in Phineas and Ferb, Detective Ellen Yin in The Batman and Lisa Wu in Spawn: The Animated Series. HELEN SLATER was the First SUPERGIRL on the Movie Screen starring as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El/Linda Lee in the 1984 SUPERGIRL produced by the Salkinds, the Producers of the Superman Movies starring Christopher Reeve. Helen starred as Clark Kent’s biological mother Lara on the Smallville Television series and is featured on the new CBS-TV Series Supergirl as Eliza Danvers, Supergirl’s foster mother. Helen had starring roles in Movies such as The Legend of Billie Jean, Ruthless People, City Slickers and The Secret of My Success. Helen was the voice of Talia al Ghul in four episodes of Batman: The Animated Series (1992). Helen wrote a Supergirl story titled “A Hero’s Journey” for DC COMICS SUPERGIRL#50. KATRINA LAW stars as NYSSA AL GHUL, the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, the leader of the League of Assassins in the THE CW’S hit Television series ARROW. Katrina’s other credits include starring in the Television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Vengeance, Legend of the Seeker, The Rookie: CTU and the Movie Death Valley. VERONICA TAYLOR is a Voice Actress known for such roles as Ash Ketchum on POKEMON, April O’Neil in TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (2003 Version) and the voices of Galaxian and Earthia in SONIC X. Veronica’s anime related voices include Sailor Pluto in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon, Will Tesla Seyruun in the Slayers TV Series, Nico Robin in the 4Kids dub of One Piece, Astraia Tor Deikun in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, Naoyo Yamanda, Prince, Satoru, Tamiko Shinshi in Patlabor: The TV Series. CHUCK PATTON is an Animation Director and Marvel and DC Comic Book Artist. As an Animation Director, Chuck is known for his work on Todd McFarlane's Spawn: The Animated Series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 version), NFL Rush Zone: Season of the Guardians, Dead Space: Downfall, Double Dragon (1994), Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas, Swamp Thing, G.I. Joe (1990 series). Chuck was the regular artist on Justice League of America#217-239, Tales of the Teen Titans#56-58,74,75, Teen Titans Spotlight#13,16, Green Lantern#163, 177, The Flash#320-323 (The Creeper stories), The Brave and the Bold#198 (Batman and the Karate Kid), Action Comics Weekly#613-618 (Nightwing and Speedy stories), The Vigilante#6,7,31,33,35, Blue Beetle#10.
