August 9, 1942 Superman Sunday Lois Bondage June Lockhart Transformation

2 posts in this topic

Here is a great early Superman Sunday complete newspaper comics section for August 9, 1942. The comic book companion to this Sunday section by date would be Superman #17 for July August 1942, the Hitler cover. Check, money order or Paypal OK. $50 shipped flat and sturdy to the US only, please. This Superman story line eventually features the first "up, up, and away" (Sept.6, 1942).

This is a previously bound section with slight trimming and bindery slashes in the left margin, there is a hint of dampstain and foxing, but the paper quality seems good.

Other comics include Tarzan, Captain Easy, humor, and a nice Rube Goldberg Pepsi advertisement, Joe Palooka, Boots (half). 8 pages tabloid size.

This is Sunday #145 from the Superman Truck storyline. Now I have added a June Lockhart full Newspaper color page from April 4, 1954 with some left margin paper missing see pic. It is a four-page section, the interior is color butterflies, the back is four celebrities Doris Day, Garry Moore, Donna Reed, and Dave Garroway. All for you, Superman and June Lockhart (Lost In Space), $50 shipped US only, and thanks for checking this out! Not the baseball players.

Questions or comments welcome! Best, David S. Albright
