PGM: New Mutants 98

I'm thinking about picking this up from a local guy.

 

He says he doesn't see any spine ticks and claims the books is "prestine"... however, I want to make sure I'm not going crazy - thankfully, he sent me some high res pics

 

Your thoughts on grade are most appreciated.

9.8, 9.6 if they're grumpy.

Could the book pass for a 9.8 based on the bottom of the top staple? Looks a bit rough there.

 

Also, along Cable's chin right down to the blond hair, there are some white spine stresses (or what appear to be stresses)

I’d be more inclined to call it a NM/NM+ – my #98 looked flawless and came back as a 9.8 but yours has some very minor creasing on the spine and around the staples from the picture, that might factor in…

I would say no chance of a 9.8 because of those color breaks on the spine.
