CLOSED! Comic Book, Pulp and Radio Premiums Oh My!

28 posts in this topic

Due to my recent sale of my Doc Savage pin and several requests via PM, I thought I'd try a few more of these.

DA Rules:

No problem children or HOS members.

Postage is free in the US of A

I prefer to sell only to US addresses but might make an exception if I know you.

PM's and offers... I will be in and out all day. Working on getting books ready for a show. If you want it, an "I'll take it" trumps all offers or PM's. First posted "I'll take it" gets it.

Payment is by PayPal within 3 days FIRM. I will also take checks and money orders if you let me know after I send you an invoice.

Returns: No hassle returns within two weeks from when tracking says it was delivered. Return postage is on you unless I make a gross error and in that case I will "man-up" and pay return postage. I don't expect any returns though as I've only had 3 or 4 in 40 years.

This comes from a smoke filled, varmit infested, mouldy junk house. (Just kidding!)

Feel free to check my KUDOS at the bottom of every post.

Early 1950's Superman Muscle Club Button. Came inside the Muscle Club kit and was usually lost right away. One of the coolest Superman pins color and graphics wise. Nice Wayne Boring art. Has just a couple very small and minor scratches as it is a tin litho button. 1-3/8" round. Again, these buttons are hard to photo. This is bright and very sharp much better than the photo indicates.

Next up is a cool one. 1937 Tracy Detective Club Brass Shield Badge with a leather cover slotted on back to wear on your belt. It is quite large 2-3/4" tall x 2-3/8" wide. Nice detail that this crappy photo does not capture. Snap is missing on back to close it but a very impressive piece.

$45. + free shipping

1938 Tracy Lieutenant Badge from Quaker Oats. 3rd from the highest rank in this series only behind Captain and Inspector General. Had to eat a lot of Quaker Oats to get this one. Bright and sharp detail but has some minor pitting in center. 2" tall x 1-7/8" wide. Buy it and you can be a member of Tracy's Secret Service Patrol!

$60. + free shipping

OK, saved the best one for last...

The 1941 American Eagle Defenders Button. This was a very short lived club badge from Nedor Comics. Only Nedor premium I know of. I bought this over 20 years ago and had it quite a while before I found a mint one in a Hakes auction. I had to pay through the nose for it but realized it's rarity and jumped into the pool and never looked back. I only know of 2 others.

As you can see there is some moderate foxing all the way around the rim it but image is clear and the center part is bright and clean. If you are a Nedor fan, this might be your only chance to own this rare button.

Because of condition... $175. + free shipping So cheap when you think of what average Nedors go for these days.

OK, crickets...

I know you people are comic book guys but this is very cool stuff.

I will leave these up for a while because I'm off to the garage to get comics ready for Terry Oneil's Yorba Linda show next weekend. Hope to see a lot of you boadies out there next Sunday. It is a killer show!

I will answer any more PM's when I come up for air.
