It might squeak by as an 8.5, but I'd probably call it an 8.0 because it looks slightly dinged at the bottom of the spine and it has some color-breaking spine tics.

Here is what I see from the scan.

 

1) Small impact area bottom edge by the spine. Cannot due to the artwork if it extends to the front cover.

2) Small ding middle bottom edge back cover. Looks like all the paper is present (hard to tell).

3) Light dust shadow along the edges front cover.

4) Small CB spine tics.

5) Light dirt back cover.
