why would anyone read charltons?

 

When your mom bought the wrong thing

 

that's what i'm saying. how could they sustain a whole business and like 25-35 different titles based on mistaken purchases and nothing else coming out that week?

 

Obviously they did, which speaks to the viability of the company for decades.

 

Kidding aside, I did have a few Charltons back in the day... used to get second-hand war books from a friend when I was a ~9-10 y.o. lad. There were Battlefield Action, Fightin Army, Marines etc in with the GI Combat, Sgt Rock, Weird War etc and I probably treasured them all the same.
