Need help to ID a Tessie the Typist comic

5 posts in this topic

So, I recently picked up a mixed lot of Silver ang Gold age stuff, and I found this Coverless issue, that I believe is Tessie the Typist? But could be something else.

The comic is: 48 Pages including ads, and "nancy Learns a Lesson" story.

The storys are:

Tessie The Typist - Tessie and Skidsy shooting Ducks.

Ruffy Ropes

Squat Car Squad

Little Vinegar

Snoopy and Dr. Nutzy

Pokey Poke

Powerhouse Pepper

and the aformentioned Nancy Learns a Lesson.

All of the story minus Nancy are Comics, Nancy is a two page story. Any help would be appreciated.

I have done some seareching, and found Gay Comics #1 and Joker Comics #1 both contained Tessie and Powerhoues, could it be one of these? or something else?

I don't have my books or my guide around me at the moment to check, but the appearance of Powerhouse Pepper should really limit the possiblities. I think all his appearances are called out in guide.

Well, I appreciate that info Scrooge. I too based on the limited info (and what you have posted) have started leaning towards Gay Comics #1. I just wish that someone could show even the first page of the Tessie Story from that issue. I don't want to sell it (which is the reason this all started) and be wrong.
